What is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that combines radiofrequency technology with microneedling techniques to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and lax skin around the face and body for a more radiant, youthful appearance. Commonly treated areas include the face, periorbital area, abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. Because this advanced system simply uses small, hair-like microneedles to gently puncture the skin and emit radiofrequency waves into the skin, and does not require any cutting or incisions, this treatment is perfect in between running errands or while on a lunch break from work. How is Morpheus8 Performed?
Your Morpheus8 treatment will be performed in Dr. Vu’s state-of-the-art facility. Before your Morpheus8 treatment, we may apply a topical anesthetic to your treatment area to help you stay comfortable throughout your session. Once numb, the handheld Morpheus8 device will be gently pressed into the skin. The device’s micro-needles will create small perforations through which radiofrequency energy is delivered. The entire treatment process typically takes less than an hour; however, times may vary depending on the size of your treatment area and your desired results.
What Can I Expect After My Morpheus8 Treatment?
After each Morpheus8 treatment, patients can expect mild swelling and tenderness around the treated area. The skin may also be red and feel sensitive to sunlight, similar to a sunburn. These are normal and typically fade within a few days after treatment. As the skin heals, collagen and elastin production increases, producing the patient’s desired results. Some patients may need multiple Morpheus8 sessions to achieve their desired results. Visible results can appear within a few days, but the most noticeable results typically appear after three weeks. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.
