Dr. Anh Vu’s path to becoming a plastic surgeon began in the Pacific Northwest and continued across the country, with rigorous surgical training at leading academic and trauma centers. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas, earning a degree in biology before continuing at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
Following medical school, Dr. Vu completed a five-year general surgery residency at two Level I Trauma Centers in Wichita, Kansas. He then pursued advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery in the Southeast, completing a fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Vu further refined his expertise in cosmetic surgery through advanced training with some of the nation’s leading plastic surgeons specializing in facial aesthetics and body contouring. This breadth of experience has shaped his individualized, hybrid approach to plastic surgery, allowing him to tailor each procedure to each patient’s unique anatomy, goals, and needs.
Dr. Vu began practicing in the St. Augustine area over twenty years ago. He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and as Director of Plastic Surgery at the University of Florida Flagler Hospital.
Beyond his extensive experience in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Vu has dedicated significant attention to research focused on advancing surgical techniques and improving the healing process. His work aims to support faster recovery, better outcomes, and an enhanced quality of life for patients.
