What Can I Expect After My Otoplasty?
After an otoplasty, patients can expect swelling and minor bruising or discomfort for about a week. After approximately two weeks, the full results from your otoplasty will be visible. Most patients can return to work and other normal activities about one week after treatment, but you should avoid strenuous activity for a few weeks. We recommend getting as much rest as possible after your ear surgery and advise patients to avoid lying directly on their ears during this time. Following your procedure, Dr. Vu will review instructions for specific post-surgery care and discuss the timing of any follow-up appointments.
