How is Laser Skin Resurfacing Administered?
For laser skin resurfacing, we use the Cynosure® ICON laser, one of the most advanced and powerful lasers on the market. During treatment, we pass the ICON laser handpiece over the areas of skin to be treated. A single resurfacing session takes no more than an hour. We typically use an anesthetic to minimize discomfort, and the ICON laser also features cooling technology to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
What Can I Expect After My Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatment?
After treatment, patients can expect mild swelling and redness around the treated area. This typically fades after a few days. We recommend avoiding sunlight, as the skin will be vulnerable until it heals. After the skin heals and collagen production picks up, you can expect noticeable improvements in your skin’s texture and tone. Some patients may need multiple laser skin resurfacing sessions to achieve their desired results.
